Position Information

Foundation Systems of Michigan is looking for a highly organized and positive individual to serve on their Installation Team. We offer an excellent compensation package, benefits, and holidays.

Job Summary: This individual will have primary responsibility for loading trucks in preparation for the job site, and performs installation duties as assigned by foreman. Completes work to meet company standards and timetable, observes established safety guidelines.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will have the following:

1 year experience as a skilled laborer in the construction or landscaping field
Ability to lift heavy objects (50-75 pounds)
Ability to operate power tools
Ability to follow directions and utilize proper handling of materials and tools, and

approved methods of installation

Ability to observe and prevent potential safety hazards

Ability to follow company policies and procedures, and observes safety guidelines and procedures
Must have a high level of energy and be able to see, hear, stand, walk, climb and kneel

I started at FSM in the installation department as a floater on a crew. I quickly realized that if you work hard, you will be recognized and rewarded -- I am literally a prime example! After a short time, I was promoted to a Foreman leading a crew, and I am now the Quality Control Supervisor.

FSM works hard to provide quality service. In order to maintain the focus on quality service, FSM created a new position that focuses on all aspects of quality control. When I transitioned into this new role as Quality Control Supervisor, I knew it was a unique career opportunity, and I appreciated that I was able to advance my career without leaving the building. I really enjoy being in a position that makes me feel like I am making a difference.
