Service Technician
Position Information
Foundation Systems of Michigan is looking for a highly organized and positive Service Technician for their Service Team. We offer an excellent compensation package with benefits, and holidays.
Job Summary: This individual will have a primary responsibility of performing routine maintenance, or repairs at customer homes. Also, meet the needs of the customer with exceptional customer service, and be able to address any possible concerns that the customer may not foresee. Furthermore, follow up on warranty issues, and train in order to achieve quality workmanship.
Responsibilities:
- Drives a company vehicle to and from customers homes
- Builds rapport with customers and demonstrates expertise in waterproofing and foundation repair systems
- Examines work done by the company and determines potential warranty or non warranty matters
- Recommends additional products and services to enhance or improve original installation, or remedy a potential issue
- Follows job specifications and approved methods of installation to ensure company policies and procedures are followed
- Installs products for production department as requested
- Responsible for communicating to service manager job completions or complications, and completing and submitting all necessary job paperwork on-time
- Follows up with customer within 48 hours until all concerns are resolved
- Regular and punctual attendance, with the ability to work overtime as needed
- Rare but overnight travel may be required
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will have the following:
- High School Diploma
- Knowledge and experience in the construction field or related trades minimum 5 years
- A valid drivers license (will need to obtain Chauffeurs license after training)
- We will supply DOT Medical Card
- Ability to provide exceptional customer service
- Being able to break down a potential issue, and find a solution
- Integrity and personal accountability
- Ability to follow directions and utilize proper handling of materials and tools; approved methods of installation
- Ability to lift heavy objects (50-75 pounds)
- Ability to operate equipment and/or power tools
- Must have a high level of energy and be able to see, hear, stand, walk, climb and kneel
- Ability to learn and understand the technicality of foundation repair and waterproofing systems
